Science enrichment
On Wednesday 17 January, chosen children from across the school were given the opportunity to participate in an enrichment afternoon, ‘all about science.’
The children were given time to investigate absorbent materials, solubility and density. The participants were provided with the instructions and equipment to complete 2 experiments. They had to follow the instructions carefully in order to complete the experiment successfully. If this was not achieved the first time, they had to discuss what they could change and what needed to stay the same. From ‘floating fish’ to ‘walking water,’ it was evident that all children involved had an excellent time becoming Loughton scientists!
