History enrichment
Last week, a group of keen historians took part in our second history enrichment session of the year.
The brief was to go back to Tudor times and take with us some modern day items that we thought the Tudors would find interesting. The children had to explain what they wanted to take and why. The limit was 10 items.
As well as the obvious technological items (iPads, mobile phones etc), we thought that toothpaste and deodorant would have been beneficial, considering the somewhat questionable hygiene during those times.
Our year 5 children also linked this task to their autumn term learning and were adamant that no plastic items should be sent back. Elliot (HB11) explained, “if the world had plastic 500 years ago, then it probably wouldn’t exist now!”
