How can you describe the feel of sausagemeat if you haven’t ever touched it? Today the 6X English group had the chance to do so (or at least a vegan alternative).
On Monday 15th May, year 5 were very excited to be taking part in our dance workshop. The theme was musicals, particularly music from the film ‘The Greatest Showman’ – we have already watched this as our experience day before completing our writing unit on ‘The Peculiars’.
On Wednesday 3 May we hosted our second careers afternoon for children in year 5. We had visitors from a wide range of professions to talk to the children about the different jobs they did.

The children in school this week, enjoyed a very different timetable, learning all about Japan. From using an atlas to find out where in the world Japan is located to making a traditional Koi carp windsock, lots of fun was had by all! Anime and Manga style drawing were enjoyed by many and we were impressed with the children’s quick grasp of Haikus.
