Turn Back Time
Year six thoroughly enjoyed the 'Turn Back Time' dance workshop.
On Friday, the year six children participated in an inspiring dance workshop ‘Turn Back Time’ as part of our World War Two topic. Dancing was an important part of life throughout the war. The dances were upbeat. Joyful and fun. We discussed the significance of the style of dancing and the joy these dances would have brought in the 1940s - boosting morale during a difficult time. HB13 learnt the swing dance, HB14 learnt all about the mambo, HB16 performed an excellent Lindy Hop and HB15 enjoyed learning all about the jive. The variety of dances were performed at the end of the day which allowed all the children to experience the different styles. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and it was great to see how many talented dancers we have throughout our year group.
