Spring Term: Natural vs. Supernatural
Year six have had a great start to the spring term.
As we dive into the spring term, our exploration of the new curriculum topic, "Natural vs. Supernatural," is well and truly underway! This term, we’re delving into inheritance and genetics, with a particular focus on Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. The children are really engaging with the concepts and are excited to understand how species adapt over time.
In our writing lessons, our poetry unit has taken flight with a focus on the moth species during the industrialisation era. The creativity on display has been remarkable, with the children employing a variety of literary techniques to bring their poems to life.
Additionally, our guided reading sessions have kicked off with the intriguing novel Skellig. The students are completely captivated by the mysterious creature found in the back of the garden shed, eager to uncover the secrets that lie within its pages. It’s shaping up to be a truly inspirational term!
