Biome specialists

After becoming biome experts last week, our year 6s have been showing off their knowledge by turning their recent research into a class display.
The children worked collaboratively, with each group focusing on a different biome, such as desert, tropical rainforest, tundra, taiga, deciduous forest and savannah. They considered where in the world each biome was situated, the climate, and the animals and plants that live there. This linked nicely to our earlier theme on adaptation.
It was lovely to listen to the conversations whilst the children decided on their roles within their groups and during both their planning and making stages when they decided which pictures and facts to share.
Please have a look at the finished products. I am sure you will agree – the children have done an amazing job.
