In year 3, our most recent computing unit was all about the basics of Scratch programming. Although the teachers were able to lay the groundwork, the children were the ones who shone as experts! They were able to add a sprite, make it move and even draw lines and shapes with the pencil sprite. They all did a fantastic job, they were able to decipher the background coding that made their sprites move (or not move). As the children move through the school, they will have more opportunities to develop their skills and learn even more about Scratch.
