Year 6 have been working hard this week on their mock SATs and have also been exploring the picture book 'Quest' which is the second book in the trilogy by Aaron Becker. Using the website 'Storyboard That', they created storyboards of key events from the story, carefully choosing characters and backgrounds. Some children had a go at adding speech in to share the thoughts of the characters. 

They have also been creating their own board games based on the story. Game rules involved: avoiding guards, collecting colour pens and rescuing the king from prison! The children loved designing their games and deciding on the rules.

'Quest' is illustrated with beautiful drawings so the children had a go at drawing their own colourful kingdoms and painting them using watercolour. Their watercolour skills are really developing - please see the photos below.
