On Thursday 2 November we had over 80 ambassadors return to school in the evening to showcase some of the many subjects we offer at Loughton School to prospective parents. We had a range of activities being demonstrated: science investigation, DT, music including garage band, PE, art, LS News, geography including the digi-map software, languages, maths, library and English.
Despite the weather, we still had a good turn out of parents who wanted to find out more about our school. There were some lovely compliments and insightful questions from the prospective parents.
We recently hosted the first of this year's stars celebration assemblies! This was to celebrate those children who have consistently demonstrated one of our 5 star values throughout the half-term: resilient, respectful, creative, independent or inspiring.
Today, some of the school's creative writers joined together to write advertising poetry based on the Walkers' Quavers packet rhyme.
This afternoon, children from across the school took part in this weeks enrichment session with a languages focus.
In our celebration assemblies today, we congratulated some of our fantastic creative writers from this half term.
We have been getting excited about poetry at school today. Even the first lunchtime meeting of creative writing club provided an opportunity for the children to produce some fun creations on the theme of red fruits.

In the spring term, the Year 4 children learned about Indian music, musical instruments and dance and they have worked very hard learning the choreography for a ‘Bollywood’ styled dance routine
