School Games Mark Gold Award

We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games Mark Gold Award for the 2023/24 academic year!

This is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012 which aims to reward schools for their commitment to the development of Physical Education and School Sport across their curriculum and in the community. It requires schools to engage children who haven'tpreviously been active or represented our school and to try and ensure that all our children have a positive experience and want to try out new activities beyond school in our community too. We are delighted to have been recognised for our success in this area.

This year has been an amazing year for sports at Loughton School and we have participated in so many fixtures, festivals and competitions with hundreds of children representing school! It's been amazing to see the children's dedication and commitment for these. We have also provided a range of different sporting clubs and PE enrichment sessions as additional opportunities for our children. All of the staff in school are very proud of each and every child who has participated in one of these opportunities.

Furthermore, last night at the Milton Keynes School Sports partnerships award ceremony, we came away with 3 awards – one of these being the ‘most improved school of the year’ for our participation with sport.

Thank you to all the parents/carers for your continued support with school sport – from encouraging your child to join one of our many clubs to transporting them to a fixture or festival. We look forward to applying once again to the sports mark award in 2024-25!
