Here are the children in years 5 and 6 that were nominated by their teachers for their wonderful independent writing. Year 5 shared a mixture of their Jane Goodall biographies and their astronauts' log – told from the perspective of one of the astronauts aboard Apollo 13. Whilst year 6 shared their descriptive and emotive stories of Josef, a young Jewish boy in Nazi Germany.  All of the pieces of writing were written to an excellent standard and demonstrated the children’s impressive writing skills, from fantastic handwriting and wonderful use of description to thoughtful inclusion of literary techniques and clever characterisation. They were all a pleasure to read.
